About

This started in Los Angeles. Otherwise it’s quite simple.

Aleph is the first letter in Semitic alphabets – the symbol for air, among other things (man’s chest, infinity, father), and corresponds to the number 1. It is also the subject of an excellent short story by Jorge Luis Borges.

Zydeco is a beautiful word for boisterous music (the kind they play in New Orleans).

Aleph to Zydeco is a fiction series, an attempt to write a short story for every word in my dictionary, starting with A and ending with whatever the last word under Z might be.

I am Pierce Nahigyan.
